The Avatar is another base in a series of a few that was inspired by a lazy day at the beach. It was a particularly wavy day, with 5 foot swells. The surfer crowd was out in droves. If you were to fly over the water with a plane, you'd wonder what all of those little dots were doing at the beach. Of course, you don't have to be a surfer to realize how nice it must have been to surf these waves.
Many of the waves were perfect allowing the surfers to literally surf out of a tunnel. I don't know what that is called, but if you could stand on the side and take a look at those waves, they would look like "C's". With that, I was inspired to create something that would show off the oceans beauty. The result, along with a few other bases, was the Avatar.
Imagine for a minute a thin tall glass. Now imagine if you would, that there was an endless supply of water shooting out of the glass without too much force… but with enough force to not just flow out. I think the result perhaps would look something like this design. Or perhaps you see something else? It does not matter, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
