In case you have not figured it out, it comes from looking sideways at a very nice wave. Many years ago I was watching the movie/documentary "Endless Summer" and I was captivated by a particular scene in which the young surfers travel to a location that has the perfect wave continuously. I'll never forget that image, and here you can see my interpretation of it through my work.
